JUNE 1 : Global Day of Parents
This Day provides an opportunity to appreciate all parents across the world for their selfless commitment to children and their lifelong sacrifice to nurture the relationship. It was adopted on September 17,2012 to honour parents throughout the world.

JUNE 5 :World Environment Day
It is celebrated every year to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth.
It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The first World Environment Day was celebrated in 1973. The 2014 theme for World Environment Day will focus on 'Small Islands and Climate Change'.

JUNE 8 : World Oceans  Day
World Oceans Day on June 8 the is a time to remember the life-giving role of oceans. The weather, climate, coastlines, the food we eat, and even the oxygen in the air that we breathe, are all regulated by the oceans. Yet our oceans and their resources are being destroyed as they face pressure from various types of pollution and over I'd look ration.
  To raise awareness for the need to protect and conserve our oceans, the UN declared June 8th to be World Oceans Day.

JUNE 12 :World Day against Child Labour
This Day brings together governments, employers and workers organisations, civil society, as well as millions people from around the world to highlight the plight of child labourers and what can be done to help them. The International Labour Organisation (ILO) launched the World Day against Child Labour in 2002. For the year 2014 the theme is Extend Social Protection : Combat Child Labour

June 14 : World Blood Donor Day
World Blood Donor Day, established in 2004, is one of the eight official public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Theme for this year's World Blood Day campaign is Safe Blood for Saving Mothers.

JUNE 17 : World Day to Combat Desertification & Drought
It has been established that droughts are becoming more common and also that desertification is also rising. The term 'desertification' refers to the process by which fertile land becomes desert, as a result of drought deforestation, or poor agricultural practices.
  The world's deserts expand and contract in response to natural changes in climatic conditions, but desertification is a phenomenon caused by human activities. It is important that steps must be taken to prevent desertification, and to help areas that have been struck by drought to recover. To highlight the ways in which this can be done, the United Nations has declared June 17th as World Da to Combat Desertification And Drought.

JUNE 20 : World Refugee Day
World Refugee Day was established by the UN to honour the courage, strength and determination of wemen, men and children who are forced to flee their homes under threat of persecution, conflict, and violence. It is observed on the 20th of June every year.
